Here’s a super interesting project designed in the late 90’s by Houston based architect Burdette Keeland (and completed two years before his death). Dubbed the “train wreck” house as it resembles three separate train cars haphazardly connected it’s essentially two separate homes connected by a shared public space. While it’s a tad bit “contemporary” for my taste, it’s still a really solid project considering it’s over 20 year old. The indoor outdoor connection and siting along the Blanco River is particularly on point. This one would be great for a multi-generational family situation.
