The inverted butterfly roof is such an iconic mid century roof line, and in my opinion one that looks best on a single story house. Davey McEathron did some great sleight of hand though by creating a floating wooden volume that compliments the roof. The same thoughtful adaptation of mid century style can be found throughout the house.

For the record, I’m still not over the whole modern farmhouse thing. This three story duplex by Davey Mceathron nails it on curb appeal as far as I’m concerned. Inside it’s a bit too on trend for me and I always worry about the livability of third floors with slanted ceiling lines. It’s one of those things you can only really judge in person. Great value on this one though!
